A1 Security Systems is Hiring!

We are looking for a solution oriented full-time technician team member and although the hours of work may vary to meet the objectives of the projects, our typical business hours of operation are 830am-5pm. We do require you to manage time appropriately to meet the project deadlines.  Generally, as a technician, you will start your day at the office before heading to the site.   You will attend the site within a marked company vehicle wearing A1 Security apparel and will communicate with the Client, and/or the General Contractor. At the end of the installation, you are to provide demonstrations and applicable reference material to the Client so that they can operate the system.

Typically, the starting compensation for the role is based on the proficiency and experience with security systems.   You can expect a starting salary between C$45K and C65$K per year.   We agree with the philosophy of performance-based incentives, and we will execute performance reviews.   A change in salary would occur because you have achieved high performance evaluations, outlining that you have met objectives, completed your responsibilities, and delivered security solutions.   We know how important vacation time is for everyone.  Generally, we work together to confirm vacation time requested is in alignment with the projects and the request.

1. Reads architectural drawings and scope of work documentation for the installation and service of applicable A1 Security Solutions
2. Effectively communicate with Clients, Contractors, Vendors as required
3. Deliver the highest level of professional customer service as possible.
4. Works with the Sales Team, Project Managers, and Coordinator to implement applicable A1 Security Solution
5. Bench tests/ pre-installation setup and configuration of systems
6. Works in new construction and existing locations
7. Can meet deadlines and can prioritize accordingly
8. Willingly participates in professional development
9. Always works safely

Skills and Requirements:

1. The Technician must have a valid Ontario Drivers License and reliable transportation.
2. The Technician must be proficient in oral and written communication for internal organization, clients, and vendors
3. The Technician must complete all applicable safety training as required.
4. The Technician should have post secondary Electronics and/or Electricity education/training; or equivalent experience
5. The Technician should be proficient with MS Office, iOS products
6. The Technician should enjoy working with technology
7. CANASA Alarm Technician Certification is an asset
8. An understanding of Information Technology is an asset

You understand the scope of the project, carry out the tasks that complete the project. Finally, you complete the necessary demonstrations, complete the applicable project documentation and work orders for invoicing.  You do this while following best safety practices. 

You may complete the project yourself or you might be part of a crew completing the project.   You focus on the details that complete the security solution.   Again, this is where you are conscious of delivering the right security solution within the time and budget. This can all be done leveraging the technology and best practices at your disposal. 

An important piece of information for you to consider is the fact that changes can occur, obstacles can be present, problems can arise.   Since you are the type of individual who can think quickly, consider project parameters, problem solve and communicate, the result will be that you are able to complete the project.   We can provide best practices, but, ultimately it is you who practices those strategies.   Ultimately, you get to take pride knowing that you completed the security solution. 

You can present the security solution to the business owner or custom homeowner. You and the rest of the A1 Security Team deliver the type of security solution you would want if it was your business or if you were trying to protect your family.
